Today with an Average Bachelor's Degree you can make 52,048 dollars. But later if you are a project manger for civil engineering you can make 102,078 dollars at the most. Then if you are a project civil engineer you can make up to 72,579 dollars. This is a good career for a person who is just getting out of college.
There are 278,400 employed people for civil engineering in the United States and the way civil engineering and mechanical engineering are related is how many ways they work together. When civil engineers build buildings they have to consult with mechanical engineers to get heating and cooling for that building. That also relates to tunnels and pipes.

With bridges, tunnels, pipes, and buildings getting old they will need to be replaced and that takes more civil engineers to replace all these structures. Also with all the population growing that will take more transportation routes and more buildings this will all have to be done by civil engineers. That is why the employment of civil engineers is suppose to go up 24% over the next decade. This is the biggest percent growth rate then any other engineering job and that is why it civil engineering compainies will have big "now hiring" signs all over the U.S.
The top three schools for civil engineering are University of California--Berkeley, University of Illinois--Urbana-Champaign,and Georgia Institute of Technology. To go to these schools you have to have a 4.8, 4.6, and 4.4 GPA. The number one shcool is the University of California--Berkley, number 2 school is Unversity of Illisnois-Urbana-Champaign, and the number 3 school is Georgia Institute of Technology.

mechanical engineering
Mechanical engineering is a discipline of engineering that applies the principles of physics and materials science for analysis, design, manufacturing, and maintenance of mechanical systems. It is the branch of engineering that involves the production and usage of heat and mechanical power for the design, production, and operation of machines and tools. It is one of the oldest and broadest engineering disciplines.
Civil engineering has the most employees then any other engineering job out there. With civil engineering is a broad job description and thats because there are so many types of civil engineering jobs. What most engineers do is design bridges, tunnels, roads, railway ,dams, pipelines and major buildings. One of the reasons why the world goes round today is because of civil engineering.
