With bridges, tunnels, pipes, and buildings getting old they will need to be replaced and that takes more civil engineers to replace all these structures. Also with all the population growing that will take more transportation routes and more buildings this will all have to be done by civil engineers. That is why the employment of civil engineers is suppose to go up 24% over the next decade. This is the biggest percent growth rate then any other engineering job and that is why it civil engineering compainies will have big "now hiring" signs all over the U.S.
